Welcome to 'Shadowboxes ' ! Originally a shadowbox is a framed box with a glass front used for displaying and protecting valued items. A shadowbox can commemorate a birth, a marriage, a graduation, a retirement or any special occasion. It can be used for baby shoes, dried wedding flowers, medals and an AJAX shirt. Our shadowboxes have a recess of 40 mm. Moreover you can order any size ! My name is Ineke de Bruijn. I have more than twenty years experience in making and teaching the art of 3-D decoupage pictures, known as shadowboxes. In order to share my passion for this medium with the rest of the world, I have created various manuals offering step-by-step instructions to help you create your shadowbox. In my shop you will find all the necessary tools and implements , as well as a wide variety of picture choices. You will need a deep frame for your finished picture and 'Shadowboxes' offers custom frames in various finishes to suit your needs. If you wish to have lessons, I offer hands-on instruction, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 -11:30 and from 13:30 - 15:00 (Please note: lessons will NOT be offered on Open House days.) On the first Saturday of every month ( and the Friday before), I have an "Open House" sale from 10:00 to 16:00 hours. You can see the manuals, pictures, and accessories that are available, as well as some of the other products I offer, such as cross-stitch kits..
